Pledge A Pad Campaign (PAPC) was initiated after research we conducted demonstrated that some needy teenage girls in Junior High Schools (JHS) and Senior High Schools (SHS) end up in teenage pregnancy due to their inability to afford Sanitary Pad during their monthly cycle. These have significantly affected most female students as they are unable to attend classes sometimes go to school anytime, they are within their monthly circle (menses) and in their bid to get their boyfriends or male friends to support them with GH10.00 every month to buy a pad, they sometimes end up having unprotected sex or fall victims of sexual harassment if they are not cooperating. In other to help reduce this incident most needy female students go through and help them concentrate on their studies, we run this campaign annually to raise funds for the procurement of a Sanitary Pad that can sustain a certain number of needy students for a year. This would be given continuously until they complete their program.

Summary

Bridging the educational gap between female and male populations and creating sustainable communities or economies where both males and females have equal opportunities and education can only be achieved effectively with a conscious effort and contribution from everyone that is why we encourage you to pledge a pad or support this campaign by all means within your abilities and capacity.
